At last my Ottoman army is forming and though I'm not an enthusiastic figure painter, yes I know it's evident, I do feel some effort should be made to give an historical feel for wargaming purposes. I began painting these figures (15mm Rank & File ) almost 3 weeks ago only to discover that my eyesight has deteriorated over the years
and had to wait another 2 weeks to address this issue.

Assuming I'm not the victim of other unforeseen impediments, my Ottoman army should be fully painted within 3 months and ready to proudly take the field against the "Balkan Federation" and the Russian Empire.
I'm trying to imagine a 1400 figure Ottoman force launching itself with renewed vigour against those forces intent on it's destruction, naturally accompanied by some very loud Mehter music for atmospheric effect.
